Little moments, at their own pace.
Enjoy watching the marmots eat, rest and go about their day. Petting and holding are not offered. Please do not chase, wake or crowd them. A feeding activity (¥200 extra) may be offered during 60-minute visits only when staff announce it and the marmots’ health allows it. It is not guaranteed and is not available during 20-minute visits. Do not bring food for the animals.

Photos show past moments. The animals you see and their activities vary with health and daily routines.
Before you book.
Age requirements
Regular visits are for ages 6 and up. Children from age 6 through the final year of primary school (Grade 6 in Japan) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Book a place for every adult and child attending. We may check children’s ages on arrival.
For children under 6, check Osaka Family Day.
Confirmation, changes, cancellations and late arrival
Cancel or request a change no later than 72 hours before your visit starts. Cancellations made by that deadline receive a full refund. After the deadline, date/time changes and refunds are generally unavailable, including same-day cancellations and no-shows. Use the cancellation or rescheduling button in your confirmation email, or contact us before the deadline. Late arrival does not extend your visit; a very late arrival may prevent admission.
Socks, footwear and scents
All guests change into the indoor footwear provided. Bring socks: bare feet are not allowed. Socks are available for ¥200 per pair, tax included. At Kichijoji and Nakano, stockings or thin tights also require socks. Please speak to staff before changing footwear.
Please avoid perfume or strongly scented products and do not visit after drinking alcohol.
Photos, personal space and shopping
Photos and videos are welcome, including for social media. Keep the flash off and respect other visitors’ privacy. Ask permission before making another visitor or a staff member the main subject of a photo or publication. Livestreaming inside the facilities is not permitted.
Please complete merchandise purchases inside the marmot area within your booked time. At Kichijoji, the separate first-floor gift shop can be visited without a booking.
Payment methods
Bookings are paid online: credit cards, Shop Pay, PayPal and Google Pay. In-store purchases use the available cashless payment methods; cash is not accepted. Online and in-store payment options differ.
Accessibility
Please contact us before booking with your preferred location so we can discuss stairs, entrance width and the layout. Osaka’s second-floor entrance is reached by outside stairs. Wheelchair users must visit with a companion; if physical assistance is needed, the companion must provide it. Staff cannot provide physical assistance on the day. Space is limited and views of the marmots may be restricted. Confirm access with us before reserving.
